The storm has broken

And there is much snow in the mountains

One of those is Mt. High, off in the distance there. This is behind my parents’ house, looking north-west-ish. Before the trees grew up, back in the day, you could see all the way to downtown LA, looking west. But there’s a whole fleet of pesky eucalyptus and pine in the way now.

On a snow-front, Mammoth received 11-17 FEET of new snow since Friday, and are expecting more. Next year, we spend the holidays in Mammoth, right? 🙂

I actually want to talk to Rob and his dad about have a Herman family Christmas in Mammoth next year. Since my family celebrates on Xmas eve, I’m thinking we’ll open presents at midnight then set out for Mammoth right after arriving just in time for breakfast 🙂
