Rejected by the DMV

Standard

Sadly, I got my application for hybrid carpool stickers back today. With a rejection letter explaining they had run out of stickers. Which I already knew. I dated my app on the 25th of Jan, wrote the check on the 28th, probably mailed it on the 29th. I read on the 4th of Feb that they were out of stickers. I bet I missed it by, like, a day or two. Alas.

I’ve started on a longer PoTD project than the previous ones. I’m trying to take a picture of the conference center that they’re building at work. The one that they evicted us from our old building for. I’m posting it to Picasa, thus far, and it even has an RSS feed. You can find it here:

  1. Wait… wha? Was there only a limited application period? Are they not going to print more, ever? Or did they reach the year’s quota? If so, that’s totally retarded.

    • They reached the “forever” quota of 85,000 stickers. When I bought the car, the tally was at 70,000. I didn’t think they could go through 15,000 IN A MONTH. Woe.
