-If you are already a couple, and you get a cat, you are going to get married.

    • I would say that you do not have to live with said person, just be around him/her a lot.
      And I think his protectiveness of the kitten would be a good predictor of future behavior, indeed.

    • On second thought, it depends. Two friends I know recently got “their” cat, yet do not cohabitate. I’m not sure what to make of a person in a relationship getting a cat for him or herself but not proclaiming it a mutual cat.

  1. Yep, my hubby and I got a cat. And then we got married. It makes perfect sense.
    But I have some single friends with cats who would not like to agree, even if so far it’s true.
